Can your iPhone run iOS 27 and Siri AI?

Find your model under Settings → General → About, then use the table below. The two compatibility lists answer different questions: whether you can install the operating system and whether you can use its new assistant.

How to install the update

  1. Back up your iPhone to iCloud or a computer.
  2. Connect it to power and Wi-Fi.
  3. Open Settings → General → Software Update. Check the whole screen: Apple’s example shows an iOS 26 update above the separate iOS 27 upgrade.
  4. Select the iOS 27 upgrade and follow the installation prompts.

If it does not appear, Apple also provides a computer-based update route. VPN or proxy connections can prevent contact with update servers. Follow Apple’s installation instructions for the appropriate Mac or Windows method; a missing update by itself does not prove an outage. Why is Siri AI missing after updating?

On an eligible iPhone running iOS 27, open Settings → Siri → Try Siri AI (Beta). Turn Siri on first if needed. Follow the voice-enrollment and privacy prompts to join the waitlist; the download starts after your wait is complete. Apple does not give a fixed waiting time. Apple’s activation guide

Some cloud-based AI features have daily limits that vary with the feature, request and demand. Apple says paid expanded access will come later; it does not publish a single universal daily quota or a price in that support guide. Does an iPhone 15 get Siri AI after installing iOS 27?

The standard iPhone 15 and 15 Plus do not meet the hardware requirement. The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max do, subject to beta access, language and region eligibility.
